TERI’S HEALTH SERVICES

FOUNDED 12/03/2017.

Myself (Teri, right) started THS 12/03/2017, as one person. I hired my first employee Audre Medlock (left) on July 14, 2018. This is one of the first photos we snapped with each other onsite when she started. We were a team of two. Six months later, we hired three more counselors (Sonya, Mary, and Megan) and two Masters level interns (Lisa and Jazmin). And from this core team Teri’s Health Services began to take form. In September 2019, with the onboarding of Deborah Laverty FNP-C primary care services and psychiatric care services began. The first Medical Assistant to Deborah was myself, Teri. We went together into facility settings providing medical care services many times for free as we first began this journey. At the same time, THS hired our first psychiatric nurse practitioner. This was the beginning of the integrated care model which includes behavioral health and physical health. In March of 2020 COVID-19 forced us to engage in telehealth platforms which at the time was an unrealistic reality for health care. We were forced to be versatile in the pandemic to continue to serve our patients despite the economic hardships. As a small team, we worked hard together to serve consistently in the settings that needed us most.

This journey of being a leader has been a faith walk for me (Teri) owner and CEO. I continue to focus on the future and focus on the possibility despite setback. Life is not always easy or what it seems it should be but it is worth the journey.

Today we have drastically sized down due to economic hardships experienced. While it is not always easy day to day we continue to unite as a team in our approach to save the people who need help the most. I am grateful to my team that continue to walk the path with me each day.

Mission Statement

The mission of Teri's Health Services is to provide evidenced-based treatment through an integrated medical and behavioral health approach. We believe treating mind and body represents a whole health approach. Our mission is to move into all counties and cities in Arizona, to provide treatment above the norm, to be a place of refuge for the sick and hurting, and to bring light to the darkness. Teri's Health Services' mission is to also provide for the worker opportunities above and beyond that of any competitor, believing that when the worker is fed well the people they serve will also be fed well.
